About ride2raise
Rapha Australia, together with The Ricky Stuart Foundation & Autism Awareness Australia, are proud to be bringing this global autism awareness event to Australia for the very first time. Whether you’re an elite cyclist and mad Rapha fan, or you just love getting on your bike with family and friends, you can take part in Ride2Raiase and help support autism families across the country.
Over the weekend of 8 - 9 October join us in riding 220kms from Sydney to Canberra with the pack or, simply ride your own way, in a team or on your own! You can ride 220kms in your own city via special routes mapped out in Strava, ride 2 hours around your local park with family and friends or jump on your bike at the gym for 22kms. Ride your own way gives you the choice of riding however and wherever you like!
Ask your family, friends and colleagues to support your fundraising and awareness campaign by creating and sharing your own personalised fundraising page.
About autism
Autism spectrum disorder, commonly known as ASD, affects how people communicate and interact with others. It affects how they make sense of the world.
The term “spectrum” is used to emphasise that autism presents differently in every single person. People with autism have a wide range of challenges as well as abilities.
In Australia, the autism prevalence rate is 1 in 70 people. But, despite being such a widespread condition, there’s an absence of quality, credible and independent information.
That’s just plain wrong. The Ricky Stuart Foundation and Autism Awareness Australia firmly believe that the right information changes lives. With your support we can produce quality, free content and ensure it gets the people who need it most.
